About
Prof. Dr. Meral Çulha completed her doctorate in clinical and counseling psychology at the University of Minnesota in the United States. Having first shaped her academic and professional career in the US, Çulha served as a researcher at Columbia University, a human resources specialist at the United Nations, and a licensed clinical psychologist and assistant professor at Iowa State University.
Following her return to Turkey, she took on roles as Dean of Students at Koç University, rector's advisor and psychotherapist at Sabancı University, and served as a faculty member at Boğaziçi and Haliç universities.
She applies the "Cross-Cultural Adaptation Model" she developed and validated in her doctoral dissertation in psychotherapy practice. She is among the co-authors of the original international "Work Salience" inventory and was also part of the team responsible for translating the MMPI-2 into Turkish and standardizing it for use in Turkey.
